More About Construction Law Issues

General contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers have a right to assert a lien upon real property for the value of work performed to improve such property, or supplies delivered to the project site, if they are not paid.  Kansas and Missouri have very specific notice and service requirements, deadlines, and language will must be followed for a mechanic’s or subcontractor’s lien to be enforceable.

Stan has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation involving liquidated damages claims, construction and design defects, breaches of contract, performance and payment bond claims, Miller Act bond claims, prompt payment act claims, and foreclosing on mechanic’s liens.
